Feelings Words

Words for how a child feels, from happy and proud to nervous and shy, with a daily feelings check-in.

What is inside

  • Happy feelings8
  • Hard feelings8
  • Feelings in the body8
  • Other feelings8

How to use it

This sheet is for naming, not for testing. Use it when your child is already feeling something, and offer the word rather than asking them to produce it: 'that looks like frustrated'. Children who have words for feelings find them easier to manage. The check-in at the back can be used daily, but it works just as well once a week.

The guide behind it

This printable comes from a longer guide in the Learning Hub, where every word has an example sentence and a way to practise it out loud.
